I am sure our school communities are anxiously awaiting the announcement of our new Benicia High School Principal.

I am very excited to inform you that we offered the position to Ms. Brianna Kleinschmidt and she has accepted.

Ms. Kleinschmidt is a Benicia High School graduate and earned her undergraduate degree from University of California Santa Barbara and Master's Degree from San Francisco State University.  She taught English for three years at the high school and has served, with distinction, as the vice-principal for the past two years.  Ms. Kleinschmidt is also a Master Teacher and Team Member through the Instructional Leadership Corps.

Ms. Kleinschmidt has worked on several programs and projects while at the High School, including Advancing Via Independent Determination, the ECHO Academy, Advanced Placement and the first Advanced Placement Night and Yearbook Advisory, to name just a few.

We enthusiastically welcome Brianna Kleinschmidt as the new Principal of Benicia High School, knowing she will provide strong, compassionate, visionary leadership for years to come.

Warmly,

Dr. Charles Young

Superintendent of Schools
