Open House provides an opportunity to talk with teachers in department-specific locations around campus. This is a great opportunity to see student work displays and student presentations. The counselors will provide the presentation they shared with students for the 9th through 11th grade parents in the Haley Horn Auditorium at 7:30pm.
The Elective Fair is held in the multi-purpose room during the day so that all 9th through 11th grade students can walk through and learn about all the elective options at BHS. This event remains open in the evening as well so that 8th grade students and parents can visit this area as well.
8th Grade Parent Night is a special part of the event, which follows presentations from our counselors to the 8th grade students at Benicia Middle School earlier in the day. All 8th grade students and parents are encouraged to attend a presentation in the auditorium from 6:30 to 7:00 pm to learn about course selection at the high school level, graduation requirements, and important details to help students transition to 9th grade.
AP Informational Session is also offered during Open House. This session provides information about all of our Advanced Placement courses to help families make informed course selections involving college level courses offered at BHS.
