  • Due to rain and colder weather, we have moved most of the picnic tables to covered areas around campus. We will also have the multi-purpose room open for lunch.

  • Today is Unity Day – thank you to everyone who wore orange today. Unity Day is a national day to stand against bullying and discrimination and to instead stand for kindness, acceptance, and including others. This is part of our RISE motto at Benicia High and we expect everyone to show kindness and be an Upstander rather than a bystander. As part of Unity Day, we will have music in the multi-purpose room during lunch to create a space for sharing kindness.

  • Be on the lookout for Sources of Strength and GSA at lunch, drop by the tables in the quad to help make an orange paper chain with your own message of what makes you unique as we unite against bullying. Join them today and Friday.

  • Kindness Bingo is still happening so we hope you are participating. Bingo cards are due at lunch on Friday at the stage in the quad. You can complete one line on the Bingo card or the entire card to win prizes. If you have any questions, please talk to Principal Kleinschmidt or Vice Principal Dr. Heidel.

  • Students – be sure to check your school email regularly for announcements and information. This week, you received an email with a student survey from our School Site Council. This survey is meant to learn about a range of topics from the student’s point of view and the information is used to help us make school decisions and plan for the future. The survey closes next Wednesday, October 27th.

  • The BHS Wellness Center is now open. The Wellness Center is a space where students can relax and de-stress.  It is currently open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8am-4pm, including during lunch. With a Wellness Center pass from a teacher, students may come in once a day during class for up to 15 minutes to take a quick break. The Wellness Center is located in room A108.

  • Soccer conditioning is canceled for today due to the weather.
